As part of Older Americans Month recognition, the New Jersey PACE Association joined legislators in the State House in Trenton to build relationships and offer information about the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Dozens of legislators engaged with PACE representatives from throughout the Garden State to learn about what PACE offers people who are 55 or older, eligible for nursing home services and able to live in the community at the time they enroll. Conversations focused on the interdisciplinary and coordinated nature of PACE as well as on the success PACE has had in keeping people healthy and socially connected. The Association is excited to welcome legislators to visit any PACE organization in New Jersey and looks forward to continued collaboration to grow PACE in New Jersey. We appreciate everyone who took the time to stop for a conversation, take away our informative materials and share their insights.
